A one-day conference on government contracting opportunities is scheduled for Nov. 16 at Rogers State University’s Claremore campus.
The purpose of the conference, “Gear Up for Government Contracting,” is to educate small business about government contracting opportunities. A step-by-step explanation of the process of doing business with the government will be featured, as well as the opportunity for networking with representatives from the different government agencies and other businesses for teaming relationships.
The conference is co-sponsored by Northeast Technology Center, Tri-County Technology Center in Bartlesville, Indian Capital Technology Center at Muskogee, and RSU.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in Post Hall, with the conference held from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. The cost for the conference is $35 per person, and will include breakfast and lunch.
Featured agencies will include the Army Corps of Engineers, Tinker Air Force Base, the Federal Aviation Agency, Central Purchasing for the State of Oklahoma, the Department of Transportation, and representatives from the Cherokee Nation. The meeting will conclude with a panel discussion and question and answer session.
