RSU Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Richard Beck this week confirmed a change to the 2023-24 RSU academic calendar which will impact time off during the fall semester.
Following the approval of the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, the university will no longer have a fall break – previously scheduled for Oct. 12 and 13 — but instead, be out for the entire week in recognition of Thanksgiving, from Monday, Nov. 20 through Friday, Nov. 24.
Dr. Beck said the previous structure, which included a fall break, created difficulties for classes held on Thursdays and Fridays, whereas the current structure distributes the time off over the entire week of classes (five days).
