Your safety is our primary concern at Rogers State University. After all, how can you devote yourself to the learning process if you don’t feel safe and secure on campus? RSU is proud to offer a safe and secure environment at each of its campuses in Claremore, Bartlesville, and Pryor for its students, faculty, and staff.
Traditionally, crime statistics are very low on our campuses and RSU is one of the safest and most secure universities in the state. However, we know that emergencies can occur anywhere, including college campuses, large or small.
That’s why we are doing everything we can to ensure your safety and prepare for any type of campus emergency. RSU has enhanced its emergency preparedness and placed a renewed focus on planning for emergency situations.
Remember, the chance of one of these emergency situations ensuing on campus is small, and such occurrences are rare. However, that chance always exists, even if the most stringent and careful prevention measures are taken. We strongly encourage all RSU students, faculty, and staff members to familiarize themselves with emergency preparedness information.
The university maintains an Emergency Response Plan and Emergency Operation Plan, developed by its Emergency Planning and Management Team. The plans, tailored for all three campuses, are examined and revised continually, as needed. The Emergency Planning and Management Team meets on a regular basis, year-round.
