Members of Rogers State University’s Criminal Justice Society recently hosted local law enforcement agencies at the Coffee with a Cop event Oct. 9 on RSU’s Claremore campus. Officers from more than a dozen law enforcement agencies – including the Claremore Police Department and Rogers County Sheriff’s Office, among others – met with CJS members and other RSU students, faculty and staff for an informal get-together that allowed law officers to meet members of the community.
RSU’s Criminal Justice Society is a student organization that promotes academic excellence to make those who work within the criminal justice system more effective. The group is open to RSU students interested in criminal justice and meets at 4 p.m. Tuesdays in Herrington Hall.
