Rogers State University students have had no shortage of fun activities during Homecoming week 2024.
Homecoming festivities kicked off last week with Paint the Town, during which student groups decorated downtown business windows with Hillcat designs. Homecoming week began in earnest on Monday with karaoke at J. Farley’s in Claremore, the International Flag Ceremony – a ceremony which celebrated and recognized RSU’s international student presence – on Tuesday, Tuesday night Bingo in Chapman Dining Hall, and a dodgeball tournament Wednesday evening in Bushyhead Fieldhouse.
Homecoming week continues Thursday night with RSU Hillcat basketball against Washburn in the Claremore Expo Center, with the women tipping off at 5:30 p.m. and men playing at 7:30 p.m. The homecoming dance will take place from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday at 320 on Main in downtown Claremore. An RSU ID is required to attend the dance.
On Saturday, Homecoming Big Top Tailgate begins at noon at the Claremore Expo, with a heated tent, adult beverages, cornhole, music, and more. Basketball games will be played at 2 p.m. (women’s game) and 4 p.m. (men’s game) inside the Expo Center against Emporia State.
During halftime of the men’s game, the Athletics Hall of Fame inductees will be recognized and the 2024 Homecoming court will be named. Homecoming t-shirts will be available to purchase during the basketball games both Thursday and Saturday, while supplies last.
