Nominations are now being accepted for the 2024 Rogers State University Distinguished Alumni Awards.
Started in 2023, the annual program recognizes noteworthy alumni and their achievements, honoring individuals in three categories:
- RSU Alumni Rising Star (graduated in the last five years):
This award recognizes an alumna or alumnus who hit the ground running after graduation. The ideal nominee should be making big changes in their community, or is leading a business, etc., and has established themselves as a recognizable talent while representing what it means to be a Hillcat. - RSU Distinguished Hillcat (graduated since 2000):
This award honors a graduate of RSU who has a record of significant accomplishments in their respective field and exemplifies the impact that a degree from Rogers State University can make. - Hill Legacy Award (1972-1999):
Giving credit to RSU’s institutional forerunners, this award is open to those who graduated from the university prior to it becoming accredited as Rogers State University in 2000.
Nominations will remain open through March 1, 2024, and those selected will be recognized at the 2024 RSU Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner Saturday, April 27.
Sponsorships for the dinner are still available in various tiers, including the Presenting Sponsor for $2,500, Alumni Awards Sponsors for $1,500, Grand Alunni for $1,000, and Table Sponsors for $500. Individual tickets are available for $50.
This will be the second annual RSU Distinguished Alumni Awards. Inaugural inductees were Rhett Ables (Rising Star Award recipient), Dr. Andrea Hunt (Distinguished Hillcat Award recipient), and Rhett Spears (Hill Legacy Award recipient).
The 2024 Rogers State University Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center Ballroom at RSU’s Claremore campus.
