Power outages caused by the Dec. 9 ice storm have left RSU Public TV unable to broadcast on cable and UHF stations, but officials said they hope power is restored later this week. DISH TV subscribers are still able to receive the station because of direct fiber feed to the satellite system.
“Like many Oklahoma homes and businesses, RSU Public Television is without power for many of its key functions,” said Dan Schiedel, general manager. “Verdigris Valley Electric Co-op is working to restore power, but cannot tell us exactly when our service will be repaired. We are doing everything we can to bring back service to our viewers as quickly as possible.”
RSU Public TV broadcasts on UHF Channel 35, Tulsa and Claremore cable channel 19, DISH TV channel 35 and satellite systems across northeastern Oklahoma. More information is available by calling (800) 823-7210.
