The art of Rogers State University students will be on display – and for sale – during the annual RSU Art Student Exhibition Nov. 8 through Dec. 6.
The exhibition and sale will be held in the Foundations Gallery, located in Baird Hall on the RSU campus in Claremore. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The exhibition will feature art in a variety of media, including drawing, painting sculpture and more, all by RSU students. Twenty percent of sales generated by the exhibition will help support the RSU Student Art Association and the remainder will go directly to the students. In addition, art by RSU faculty members will be on exhibition and for sale.
“This is a great opportunity to purchase low-cost, high-quality work by emerging artists, to help fund the RSU Student Art Association and its activities, and to support the student-artists themselves,” said Gary Moeller, RSU art professor. “Who knows – your investment may pay off quite well in the future as we produce tomorrow’s Picassos.”
Students also will help package and deliver the art to collectors.
“The art show and sale comes just in time for holiday gift giving,” Moeller suggested. “Purchasing student art also is a great way to obtain art for office walls at a reasonable cost.”
