In honor of Veterans Day, Rogers State University wants to serve those who served their country at the first annual RSU Veterans Day Barbeque on the Hill.
Slated for 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, RSU Veterans Day Barbeque on the Hill will kick off with a brief ceremony to include the posting of the colors, the National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance and comments from a guest speaker. Following this, free lunch will be served to veterans and their guests in attendance, with lunch to non-veteran attendees for $4 per plate.
Games for children and family members will be available, and small gifts of appreciation will be presented to veterans present. Additionally, a raffle will be held to win Oklahoma City Thunder tickets. Entry to win the raffle is free.
RSU Veterans Day Barbeque on the Hill will be held on the patio of the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center at Rogers State University in Claremore. The event is open to the entire community.
