The fourth annual “Ten-Minute Play Festival,” featuring “mini-productions” of three new, original plays, will be presented by Rogers State University Theatre Thursday through Saturday, Sept. 11-13.
The productions will be held at 7:07 p.m. in the Will Rogers Auditorium on the RSU campus in Claremore. Admission is free to all area students and RSU faculty and staff, and $5 for adults and $3 for seniors.
Each of the three 10-minute plays will be presented during each evening, according to David Blakely, director of the RSU Theatre program.
This year, the productions include “Reverse Evolution” by Brian Polak, “The Tough Coughed as He Ploughed the Dough” by Dr. William Hart, RSU health sciences professor, and “Breaking and Entering” by Joshua Buehler, RSU senior from Oologah.
“We are proud to present three diverse and interesting pieces of original work,” Blakely said.
Polak is a playwright and television writer living in Los Angeles who is acquainted with the RSU Theatre program, Dr. Hart teaches nutrition at RSU and is branching out as a playwright, and Buehler is an RSU student who has appeared in numerous RSU Theatre productions, including a portrayal of Woody Guthrie last year.
