The Care More for Claremore organization has named the recently renovated Pershing Hall at Rogers State University the Commercial Property of the Month for September.
The Commercial and Residential Properties of the Month are sponsored by Claremore Electric, the City of Claremore’s electric utility.
The designation was accompanied by a credit of $100 for RSU on its monthly utility bill. The award was presented to the university at a recent meeting of the Claremore City Council.
Built in 1930, Pershing Hall was renovated in 2007. The building houses the university’s Administrative Services Department, which includes the Print Shop, Postal Service and University Archives. The university’s physical plant completed most of the renovation project including interiors, electrical work and heating and air.
Orval May is director of administrative services and accepted the honor on behalf of his staff. “We are very proud of Pershing Hall and are honored to receive this award,” May said.
Staff members include Bryon McDaniel, Mike Ross, Trudy Stonebarger and Connie Wall.
