Rogers State University will be merry and bright this Wednesday, Nov. 30, with the annual “Holiday on the Hill” tree lighting ceremony.
Slated for 5 p.m. in front of Preparatory Hall, this long-standing tradition officially kicks off the Christmas season at RSU, with the campus and nearby communities encouraged to attend and celebrate the holidays.
“Our maintenance crew has been working hard the past few weeks to get the holiday lights on campus just perfect for the official lighting ceremony,” said Katie Anderson, student activities coordinator. “Santa is eagerly awaiting to see the children and the children at heart, with Christmas carols to be sung as we celebrate the holiday season together.”
Children are invited to have their photos taken with Santa and the RSU mascot, Hunter the Hillcat, at no cost to their parents. Free hot chocolate and cookies will also be provided.
This event is free and open to the community.
This event is sponsored by RSU Student Affairs and the Campus Activities Team (CAT).
