Rogers State University President Designate Dr. Larry Rice is this week’s guest on RSU Public Television’s news talk show “Green Country Perspectives with Sam Jones.” The 30-minute program will air at 8:30 p.m. Friday, May 2.
Rice will discuss a variety of subjects including planned campus renovation projects, the upcoming 2009 university centennial and plans for new degrees at RSU.
“We are excited to have Dr. Rice on our program and believe viewers will learn a lot from his conversation with host Sam Jones,” said Dan Schiedel, general manager of RSU Public TV. “There are many things happening at RSU now and this show is a chance to share university news with the public.”
This is the second season of RSU Public Television’s weekly news talk show and host Sam Jones brings more than 30 years of broadcast experience to the RSU Public TV production team. Many viewers will recognize him from his years on KOTV and KJRH in Tulsa. He worked as the co-anchor for KJRH’s nightly news from 1981 to 1986.
The episode featuring Dr. Rice will be repeated at 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 4 and 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7.
RSU Public Television can be found on UHF channel 35, Cox cable channel 19 and satellite channel 35. The station, based on RSU’s Claremore campus, reaches about 1.2 million people within a 75-mile radius of the campus and is Oklahoma’s only full-powered television station operated by a public university.
