Rogers State University’s bookstore and radio station are teaming up to kick off the spring semester.
RSU Radio will broadcast live from the new 5,000 square-foot RSU Bookstore located in the newly-constructed Student Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9.
Students, faculty, staff and the public are invited to stop by the live broadcast and answer RSU trivia questions to win prizes, said Cathy Coomer, RSU Radio general manager.
The bookstore and the radio station will be giving away RSU Centennial t-shirts, RSU-branded merchandise and other RSU Radio giveaways including RSU FM Radios with ear buds, RSU Radio coin purses and bumper stickers.
“This is a great way to promote the grand opening of the bookstore and to celebrate the start of RSU Centennial year,” Coomer said.
In addition the RSU Bookstore will have some items on sale including 25 percent off all Champion brand fleece clothing.
Bookstore hours through Jan. 17 are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays and the bookstore also will be open until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesdays.
Currently, access to the bookstore is limited to the main entrance doors on the northwest terrace of the Student Center.
RSU Radio, 91.3 FM, is a 3,000-watt student and volunteer-operated radio station on the RSU campus.
