Rogers State University will exemplify the festive spirit of the holiday season with its annual “Holiday on the Hill” lighting ceremony set for Wednesday, Dec. 1.
“The lighting ceremony is a long-standing tradition at RSU. It’s a time for our campus community to celebrate the joy and magic of the holiday season together,” RSU President Dr. Larry Rice said.
Children will be delighted to snap photos with Santa and RSU mascot, Hunter the Hillcat. To kick-off the holiday season, the Hillcat family will join together to sing Christmas carols and listen to a reading of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas. Free hot chocolate will be served.
The ceremony will begin at 5 p.m. in front of Preparatory Hall, the gold-domed building at the main entrance of the Claremore campus. The event is free, and the Claremore community is invited to attend. For more information, call the Office of Student Affairs at 918-343-7579.
