Rogers State University’s radio station, RSU Radio FM 91.3, has been nominated for “Best Radio Station” in the 2010 Absolute Best of Tulsa awards. This is the station’s first time to be nominated in the category.
“We’ve made so many great strides over the years,” said Cathy Coomer, assistant professor and general manager of RSU Radio. “This is another sign that people are not only taking notice, but also enjoying the programming that we work so hard to put on the air,” said Coomer.
“It’s an honor to be nominated alongside some of the top-rated radio stations in the market,” said Steve Doyle, RSU Radio operations manager.
Online voting for the Absolute Best of Tulsa awards will continue through July 17. An awards ceremony will be held at the Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa on August 5. The annual event is sponsored by Urban Tulsa Weekly.
RSU Radio FM 91.3 is a non-commercial, educational radio station located on RSU’s Claremore campus. The station presents a college alternative format that includes a variety of music spanning multiple genres.
