The Dollars for Scholars Fundraising Breakfast, a special event to raise funds for student scholarships at Rogers State University, will be held on Friday, March 12, at the Bartlesville Community Center. The public is invited to attend.
The event will be held from 8-9 a.m. Registration is required by calling 338-8042.
The Dollars for Scholars Program at RSU provides much-needed funds for scholarships for deserving RSU students in Bartlesville, said Dr. Danette Boyle, RSU vice president for development.
Kelly Diven, president and CEO of the 66 Federal Credit Union of Bartlesville, will serve as emcee for the event.
Rep. Steve Martin also will deliver remarks and Rep. Earl Sears will present an appeal for support of the Dollars for Scholars Program.
Featured speakers will be Brian Leininger, RSU student from Bartlesville, and RSU President Dr. Larry Rice, who will provide an update of ongoing initiatives at the university.
Presenting sponsors of the event are Arvest Bank, ConocoPhillips, Mark and Debbie Haskell, Wal-Mart Logistics and 66 Federal Credit Union.
