Dr. Emily Dial-Driver and Frances Morris will be presenting a book review titled “Mindology: The Rule of the Mind” at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 25 at the Rogers State University Stratton Taylor Library.
The free event is open to the public and will be held in room 207 of the RSU Stratton Taylor Library. Refreshments will be served.
The pair will discuss “Buyology: Truth and Lies About Why We Buy” by Martin Lindstrom and Paco Underhill and “Mindset: The New Psychology of Success” by Carol Dweck.
Dial-Driver is a professor and Morris is an instructor in RSU’s English and Humanities department. They plan to address several questions: Does sex sell? What do religion and ritual have in common with successful advertising? Can subliminal advertising really influence our behavior?” and “Do you control your reactions to situations?
These two reviewers said their goal for the lecture is to empower the audience by providing insight into how individuals can learn to develop an informed mindset. Dial-Driver received her doctorate from Oklahoma State University and Morris earned her graduate degree from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.
