Rogers State University named Bradley Hammond as the university registrar. Hammond, from Sapulpa, began his duties effective July 1.
“We’re excited that Bradley joined our team and will continue to promote the pursuit of our students’ educational opportunities and goals, consistent with the strategic priorities at RSU. Bradley’s experience and passion make him an excellent fit to lead these efforts moving forward,” Dr. Richard Beck, vice president for academic affairs, said.
Hammond, who has more than 20 years of experience in higher education, will guide and direct RSU’s Registrar’s Office. The position is a critical role in university and academic operations.
The university registrar manages the maintenance and integrity of all student academic records, the approved curriculum, the creation and maintenance of course schedules, all areas of student registration, the recording and reporting of grades, degree auditing and graduation policies. This position is also responsible for compliance with FERPA, transfer of credits, NCAA Division II athletic eligibility and VA enrollment certification activities.
Hammond comes to RSU from Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Oregon where he served for four years as the vice president of student services and registrar. Prior to his appointment at TVCC, he spent 18 years at Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming as the registrar and director of admissions and judicial affairs.
“I am excited to lead the Registrar’s Office at RSU. There are many great opportunities for students, and our staff is very dedicated. I look forward to serving our students and helping them achieve their educational goals,” Hammond said.
Hammond holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwestern State University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Concordia University – Portland.
He was voted Student Advocate of the Year in 2019-2020 by the Associated Student Government at TVCC. He is passionate about seeing students succeed.
“We have a great staff who are very dedicated to RSU and especially the students. I am very excited to be here,” Hammond said.
