RSU Public Television is seeking a quick-witted and energetic on-air host who can think on her or his feet for the station’s new academic game show “I Want Answers!”
“I Want Answers!” will be a weekly half-hour quiz show for northeast Oklahoma high school students in grades nine through 12.
The program will be an innovative, fun, and challenging competition for contestants and viewers, said Dan Schiedel, general manager of RSU Public Television.
“The show will highlight Green Country schools and communities, and enhance relationships between RSU, area high schools and surrounding communities,” he said.
In a traditional game show format, the program will showcase the scholastic abilities and talents of area high school students, Schiedel said.
“‘I Want Answers!’ also will have some not-so-ordinary questions and challenges that highlight everything from a student’s singing and dancing prowess, to their ability to execute complex math equations, spell words backward and other tricky physical and mental tasks,” he said.
Persons of all ages are welcome to audition for host of the program, and must register in advance. To register for the auditions, contact John Pruner at RSU Public Television at 918-343-6867.
Auditions will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, May 20, at the RSU Public Television studio, located on the RSU campus in Claremore. Audition material will be provided.
Schiedel expects the new program to begin airing next fall.
