Rogers State University’s Theatre Program will be presenting a performance of A.R. Gurney’s Pulitzer-finalist Drama “Love Letters”.
The play focuses on two characters exchanging letters about the shared nostalgia, missed opportunities, and deep closeness of two lifelong, complicated friends.
Gurney is known for his works “The Dining Room”, “Sweet Sue”, and “The Cocktail Hour”. He received the PEN/Laura Pels Theatre Award as a master American dramatist in 2007 and was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2016 Obie Awards.
On Valentine’s Day at 7:07 p.m., there will be multiple performances occurring at the same time located on the Claremore campus with limited seating.
- Will Rogers Auditorium, lead performances by Luke Huen and Shea Brandt and directed by Steven Gaskins.
- Baird Hall Performance Hall performed by Jacob Canright and Leelee Batch and directed by Shea Brandt.
- Baird Hall Outdoor Amphitheater directed by Luke Huen with performances from Steven Gaskins and Ashley Ryan.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, each location will require masks and be socially distanced.
