The film “Brooklyn Brothers Beat the Best” will be presented on Wednesday, October 10, at Rogers State University as part of the RSU Fine Arts Film Series, sponsored by the RSU School of Liberal Arts.
The film, which is rated not rated, will begin at 7 p.m. in the Will Rogers Auditorium on the RSU campus in Claremore. The film showing is free and open to the public.
“Brooklyn Brothers Beat the Best” is described as a quirky, dark comedy about a recently dumped twenty-something from New York who is on the verge of giving up his goal of becoming a musician. Convinced by a friend to go on an impromptu cross-country tour with their signature toy instruments, the duo’s musical journey takes them on a string of hilarious bizarre shows and disastrous encounters.
Starring Ryan O’Nan (who is also the writer/director of the film), Michael Weston (from HBO’s “Six Feet Under”), Arielle Kebbel (“Gilmore Girls”) and Academy Award-winning Melissa Leo (“The Fighter”). The film has been featured at the Toronto International Film Festival, Santa Barbara International Film Festival and Northside Festival.
