High school upperclassmen and their parents will get the inside scoop on Rogers State University during Saturday’s Destination RSU, an open house that caters to the college curious.
Participating students will have a chance to win a partial tuition waiver and other prizes.
The Oct. 12 event, which is free, begins at 9:00 a.m. in the Ballroom of the Centennial Center on the Claremore campus. Preregistration is required and can be completed online or over the phone at 918-343-7546 or 800-256-7511.
“Few decisions affect the life of a young adult more than whether and where to attend college. Destination: RSU is designed to help demystify the process by giving parents and students a close-up view of our university, including how to get in and how to access scholarships and financial aid,” said Joy Lin Husted, director of admissions.
The event will feature breakout sessions for students and parents where they will meet RSU faculty members, current RSU students and take guided tours of the campus.
Participants also will have the opportunity to learn more about admission procedures, availability of scholarships and other financial aid, housing, academic programs and the wide variety of student activities and services available at RSU.
