RSU Radio has opened its airwaves to campus and community groups interested in promoting their organizations and activities for area listeners.
The station broadcasts live every day from Rogers State University, and is inviting guests to participate on its morning show, “Josh and Misti in the Morning,” which airs Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
RSU students Joshua Buehler of Oologah and Misti Grannemann of Claremore (both radio and television majors at RSU) launched this format last spring, and have interviewed a variety of guests about topics related to civic clubs, nonprofit organizations, public events and other community activities.
The guest appearances help expand RSU Radio programming to include more news and information about local organizations.
RSU Radio is the only alternative college station in Oklahoma, and reaches listeners in northeastern Oklahoma at 91.3 FM. The station also spans worldwide on the web at www.rsuradio.com.
Most of RSU Radio’s programming is produced and hosted by RSU students, along with RSU faculty members and members of the community. The station plays an extended variety of music, most of which cannot be heard elsewhere in Oklahoma, including local music, pop alternative, top forty 70s music, hip hop, bluegrass, jazz, blues and more.
