Rogers State University’s Student Art Show and Sale will open Thursday, Oct. 9 in the Foundations Gallery on the Claremore campus.
The show, which includes everything from pottery to paintings, kicks off with a reception on opening night at 5 p.m. in the gallery. The show and sale concludes Nov. 7.
Denny Schmickle, chair of the Department of Fine Arts, said the artwork this year includes painting, prints, drawings, sculpture, photography and more. He noted that the show and sale in the fall is popular because the student art makes for great holiday gifts.
Students set the prices, which will range from $10 to $200, depending on the work.
A small commission from each sale benefits the RSU Summer Art Program in Italy with the rest of the money going to the student artists.
Students in this year’s show and sale include: Kristine Alcorn, Drake Bendabout, Jon Book, Keli Boyd, Sharleen Branch, Kristin Cleary, Marithza Gallo, Alexa Gift, Heather Lynn Hudson, Kiarah Humphrey, Dana Jones, Alana Joyner, Brittany Kelly, Stephanie Kelso, Andrea Koch, Kayla Landrum, Hope Longacre, Ashley Luce, Audrey McBride, Francyne Melberg, Callie Mercer, Shaina Moua, Hunter Nelson, Kilee Panik, Gabrielle Pippen, Jazmin Quezada, Dakie Reeder, Lea Runnels, Jerica Scullawl-Gates, Sherrie Sherrick, Makayla Tidwell, Macy Travis, Mai Pa Che Vang, Panouqou Vue, Amy Jo Wheeler, Jessica Wittig and Erico Zetina.
