The Rogers State University Theatre Department will be honoring William Shakespeare’s 442nd birthday by hosting a series of performances entitled “A Salute to Shakespeare” on April 21-22.
The performances will be held at 8:06 p.m. in the Will Rogers Auditorium on the Claremore campus.
During the tribute, students will perform poems and short pieces from various Shakespearean works.
“The performances promise to be exciting by incorporating classic selections as well as some more lesser know pieces in celebration of Shakespeare’s 442nd birthday,” said Dr. David Blakely, assistant professor of communications and fine arts and coordinator of the RSU’s theatre program.
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. RSU faculty, staff and students will be admitted free of charge.
