Several campus groups are teaming together to organize Rogers State University’s first “Thanks For Giving” canned and boxed food drive this month.
Residents of RSU’s on-campus apartments will be divided into teams that will compete to collect the most canned and boxed food items. The food drive will benefit the Rogers County Youth Services and the Safe-Net Services of Rogers and Mayes counties.
The event will culminate in a Nov. 16 event where each team’s results will be collected and counted at the RSU Student Union from 1-4 p.m. The winning team will be announced sometime between 4-5 p.m., and winning team members will receive a trophy and complimentary pizza party. RSU Radio (91.3 FM) will broadcast the event live and provide regular updates throughout the afternoon.
The event is being sponsored by RSU Radio, the RSU Office of Student Affairs and RSU Residential Life.
