The Student Health Center at Rogers State University will hold an Oct. 28 open house to allow students and the community to become more aware of the services provided by the on-campus facility, which opened earlier this month.
The open house will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28. Refreshments will be served, and tours of the newly renovated facility will be provided.
The health center is located in Downs Hall, which is adjacent to the west side of the Health Sciences Building on the Claremore campus. The center is also accessible through the Health Sciences Building, Room 164.
Health services are available free of charge to all students, faculty and staff from all three campuses. Some fees may be incurred to cover the cost of supplies, when applicable. Services provided by the clinic include consultation, assessment and treatment of minor injuries and illnesses, first aid, hearing and vision screening, blood pressure screenings, over the counter medications, allergy shots, vaccinations, lab tests and health education.
The center is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Services may be obtained on a walk-in or appointment basis.
The center will also provide students with access to individual counseling, which is also free of charge.
The university has contracted with F.C. “Jumbo” Eaton, D.O., to provide medical services at the health center. Eaton, who is board certified in emergency medicine, will be scheduled at the clinic on Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to noon.
