The public is invited to a reception in honor of the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents, the governing board for Rogers State University, on Monday, Sept. 13, on the RSU campus in Claremore.
The reception will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. on the campus lawn between Meyer Hall and Will Rogers Auditorium. Parking is available in the Post Hall parking lot. Food and beverages will be served free of charge.
“We would like to invite the community to come out and meet the members of the Board of Regents and view the changes on our beautiful campus,” said RSU President Dr. Joe Wiley.
In the last few years, RSU has opened the new state-of-the-art Stratton Taylor Library, constructed student apartments and refurbished several historic buildings on the Claremore campus. In addition, new signage, parking and landscaping has been added to the campus.
The OU Board of Regents will conduct a two-day meeting Sept. 13-14 on the RSU campus, considering business from OU, RSU and Cameron University, the three institutions governed by the regents. At the meeting, the board is scheduled to vote on additions to the RSU faculty, further renovation work on the RSU campus and various state and federal grants for student support programs at RSU.
