Rogers State University and the Oklahoma Alliance for Manufacturing Excellence will host a one-day workers compensation workshop for companies wanting to minimize their risks and reduce their costs.
The workshop will be held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, May 31, in Room 236 of the Health Sciences Building on RSU’s Claremore campus.
The event is free and open to the public, but advance registration is requested.
Topics to be addressed include an overview of Oklahoma’s workers compensation requirements, methods to reduce workers’ compensation costs, how to detect and document fraud, and other related issues.
Featured presenters will include Mike Seney, vice president of member relations and director of the manufacturers/international department with the Oklahoma State Chamber, and Karen Dixon, director of the Workers’ Compensation Fraud Unit with the Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General.
A light lunch, sponsored by the Oklahoma Bid Assistance Center at Tri-County Technical Center, will be provided to attendees.
