Dr. Andrew Mattioda has been named Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Rogers State University.
The appointment was approved at a recent meeting of the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents in Lawton.
Mattioda will teach courses in RSU’s Department of Mathematics and Sciences, located in the School of Mathematics, Science and Health Sciences.
Previously, he served as an Adjunct Instructor at RSU. He also was an environmental chemist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Tulsa from 1995 to 1999.
In addition, he served as a graduate teaching and research assistant at the University of Oklahoma. He also has served as an Adjunct Instructor at The University of Tulsa and Tulsa Community College.
He received doctoral and master’s degrees in physical chemistry from OU, a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and mathematics from East Central University and an associate’s degree in science from Eastern Oklahoma State College.
He is a member of the American Chemical Society, Tulsa Computer Society and the Italian American Club of Tulsa. He is a resident of Tulsa.
