Rogers State University will be holding a brief dedication ceremony at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 16, for its newest student housing complex, which has added more than 300 new beds to campus.
The University Village C complex opened in August and includes nearly 85,000-square-foot in its three-story building. The facility includes lounge spaces, study rooms, a community kitchen, laundry facilities, outdoor fire pit and game room for student use.
With the expansion, RSU now can house more than 800 students on-campus with options suited for all students — from first-time freshmen to students with families.
The additional housing further solidifies RSU’s position as the only public university with on-campus housing in the Tulsa metropolitan area.
A short ceremony will start at noon with a ribbon cutting to follow. Tours of the facility will be available immediately before and after the ceremony, with light refreshments and a commemorative cup will be available in the UVC Kitchen and lounge afterwards.
Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend the dedication event and facility tour.
