Daniel Marangoni, Director of Research and Sponsored Programs at Rogers State University, was recently named the drive chair for the United Way of Rogers and Mayes Counties.
Marangoni, who also teaches upper level psychology courses, has previously organized United Way fundraising campaigns for RSU. In May, his efforts helped lead RSU Bartlesville to be recognized as an outstanding business to support the Bartlesville Regional United Way.
This year, Marangoni is helping to coordinate fundraising events such as a cook-out lunch in Claremore and golf tournaments in Rogers and Mayes Counties. All funds raised by the United Way stay in the counties in which they are allocated.
The Rogers County and Mayes County United Way boards recently merged in order to better serve both communities. Their combined efforts support dozens of agencies in Rogers and Mayes Counties, including Tri-County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), the Rogers County Drug Abuse, Claremore Meals on Wheels, and Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts programs.
