“I saved Internship II until my last semester. I thought that would give me a better chance of getting hired at DHS. I was lucky enough to be placed with a great group of DHS workers who all offered to be references for me when I applied for a permanent position. RSU taught me so much, I felt prepared going into this field (child welfare). This type of job puts you in a role of major responsibility – taking care of kids! We work with parents to achieve their safety plans and get them needed assistance to get their kids back in their care. This is exactly what I went to school for!”
