The statewide Dream Big Oklahoma innovative ideas competition has announced four area entrepreneurs and existing small business owners who have been named as finalists for this year’s regional Green Country competition.
A diverse cross section of enterprises from Rogers County is represented among the finalists including Perry Dogs, Wolfe Media, Art Energy Project and Top Secret Case.
The regional finalists advanced through a competitive online voting period and an independent judge’s review for an opportunity to compete for $5,000 of funding along with the chance to advance to the statewide competition. Finalists will give oral presentations on March 13 to a panel of judges with winners announced that evening during an awards ceremony.
Dream Big Oklahoma is collaboration between Rogers State University and regional hosts throughout the state and is directed by the RSU Innovation Center. The competition went live on Feb. 10 and in the first two weeks drew more than 10,000 online votes and 23,000 visits to DreamBigOklahoma.com.
The Green Country regional finalist will be featured on RSU Public TV later this spring. Regional sponsors include RCB Bank, BancFirst, MidAmerica Industrial Park, Google, Tulsa Port of Catoosa, Inola Drug and Oklahoma Natural Gas.
