
NEWSJanuary 25, 2012 RSU Fine Arts Series to Feature Animation Double Feature on Thursday Night
Winnie the Pooh and Beowulf too! The RSU Fine Arts Film Series opens its spring season with a free animated double feature, Thursday, January 26 in the Will Rogers Auditorium. At 6 p.m., audiences and artists of all ages will enjoy the 2011 Disney hand-drawn production of Winnie the Pooh. At 7:30 p.m., computer animation and fantasy literature fans can see the 2007 re-configuration of the 1,000-year-old-plus heroic story of Beowulf. Widely acclaimed for its use of digitally enhanced live action animation, Beowulf features an Academy Award-winning cast and technical crew in the production of this classic work of literature for a modern audience. The RSU Fine Arts Film Series... Winnie the Pooh and Beowulf too! Free and open to the public on Thursday, January 26, at 6 p.m. for Winnie the Pooh (rated G), and 7:30 for Beowulf (Rated PG-13 with parental cautions for animated violence and sexual suggestiveness) in the Will Rogers Auditorium on RSU's Claremore Campus.
