Almond Producer and Marketer to Give Free Public Lecture at RSU Nov. 4

Will Rogers' great-granddaughter, who founded a company that produces almonds in California and markets them online, will provide a presentation on entrepreneurship on Thursday, Nov. 4, at Rogers State University.

Jennifer Rogers-Etcheverry will give an hour-long presentation on the entrepreneurial process and her heritage on the 131st anniversary of the folk hero's birth.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 11 a.m. in Room 149 of Herrington Hall on the RSU campus in Claremore. Her appearance is sponsored by the RSU School of Business and Technology, and will be held during the annual Will Rogers Days celebration in Claremore.

Rogers-Etcheverry is the founder of a company called My Husband's Nuts in Bakersfield, Calif. She started the company seven years ago to market the almonds her husband grows on the couple's farm.

The company sells a variety of almond products, gift items and apparel at retail locations in 18 states and online at www.myhusbandsnuts.com.

She recently discussed her almond products and growing business on the ABC program "The View" and has been featured in media outlets across the nation.
