RSU Names Assistant Professor of Chemistry
Kirk Voska has been named assistant professor of chemistry at Rogers State University.
Voska's appointment was approved recently by the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents.
Voska will join the faculty of RSU's Department of Mathematics and Science, located in the School of Mathematics, Science, and Health Sciences.
Previously, Voska served on the faculty of the chemistry department at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, where he taught general chemistry, organic chemistry and laboratory classes. He also has taught at Truman State University and Cornell College.
He has conducted research on sulfur compounds at Kansas State University and worked for the quality assurance laboratory at Nestle Foods in Dublin, Ohio.
He co-authored an article that was published in the Journal of Research in Science Teaching and has presented papers at a number of academic conferences.
He received a doctoral degree in chemical education from the University of Northern Colorado, a master's degree in organic chemistry from Kansas State University and a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Central Michigan University.
