Art on the Hill

After a one-year hiatus to regroup and refocus its efforts, organizers for Rogers State University's Art on the Hill Festival have announced it will return to the Claremore campus and the event has been expanded to three days.

Sept. 18-20, 2015
10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday
Noon - 6 p.m. on Sunday

This will be the fifth year for the festival, which showcases high quality art works by established artisans, rising talents, and students from throughout northeastern Oklahoma. All proceeds from the festival will be directed to fund college scholarships for current RSU students and area high school students.

Art on the Hill has expanded to three days in order to maximize exposure for the artists and performers, said Peggy Rice, who serves as RSU’s First Lady and co-chairs the event with RSU art professor Gary Moeller.

A special collection of works from RSU alumni will be exhibited in the Foundation Gallery in conjunction with Art on the Hill.

The event will continue to feature tented venues on the Claremore campus lawn to offer visitors an opportunity to stroll through the art exhibits, experience live art demonstrations, and enjoy music provided by guest musicians. The event will remain free and open to the public, thanks to the generosity of event sponsors.

Artist and Schools

Art on the Hill is currently seeking participating artists and schools. Exhibiting artists who are not students will be subject to a $60 entry fee, with $20 from each entry going directly to the scholarship fund.
