Request a Phone Installation or Relocation:

  • Email the Help Desk at helpdesk@rsu.edu
  • Requesting a phone installation or move is to be generated by the area supervisor
  • After the email is received the appropriate steps will be taken

Voice Mail

Set Up Voice Mail Box:

  • After you have requested voice mail, a representative from Academic Computing Services will notify you of your temporary voice mail password. 
  • After you have received your temporary password, dial 7875 and listen to the introductory prompt. 
  • The message will prompt you to enter your temporary password. 
  • The system will then talk you through setting up a new password which must be six digits long. 
  • The system then talks you through recording your name and a message.

Check Messages:

  • Dial 7875
  • Enter your password
  • The system will then guide you through the checking your messages process.

Check Messages Off Campus:

  • Dial 343-7875
  • Push “#”
  • Enter your extension number
  • Enter your password
  • The system will then guide you through the checking your messages process.
Set Up or Change Voice Greeting:
  • Pick up hand set
  • Dial 7875
  • Enter your password
  • Select option 4
  • Choose greetings
  • Follow the directions to record a new message
