Scholarship
2010 Principal Researcher, Assessment Survey, I designed, developed, implemented, and analyzed an assessment survey for University Assessment Committee. Survey was given to 78 faculty members and administrators. I published an Executive Summary Assessment Report and distributed the results to university faculty and administrators. Results were utilized to establish university assessment changes.
2010 Project Co-Coordinator, Peer Review Sessions/Pilot Study for
Present University Assessment Committee. I am one of the principal project members and Peer Review team leader. We designed and developed a face to face program assessment peer review program to increase mastery of student learning and pedagogical enhancement. At the completion of the peer review sessions I will facilitate a Focus Group to evaluate program efficacy.
2010-Present Project Advisor, Service Learning Course Embedded Curriculum Manual. I am chairing a service learning faculty committee in the Department of Psychology, Sociology, and Criminal Justice. We are developing a Service Learning Curriculum Resource Manual including a Service Learning Workbook, Risk Management Program, and Evidence Based Research for Service Learning.
2009-Present Program Director, Community Counseling Continuing Education Program. I designed, developed, and am directing a quality pedagogical program for Licensed Mental Health Professionals in Northeastern Oklahoma. Continuing Education topics include: Professional Ethics, Counseling Supervision, Multicultural Counseling, Psychopharmacology treatment for children, teens, and adults. I have selected qualified licensed professionals including Doctorate level Licensed Professional Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapist, and Psychiatrist. Spring/Summer 2011 program, 63 hours of continuing education.
2009-Present Principal Researcher/Work in progress, Adverse Childhood Experiences and Adult High Risk Behavior and the relationship to Health Status: A Qualitative Meta Analysis of the ACE Study a new approach.
2006 Degree Author and Curriculum Design of the Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Counseling. I designed, developed, researched, and selected the curriculum requirements for program core and guided electives. The degree is an interdisciplinary degree which includes courses in counseling, psychology, sociology, health sciences, and research. The 124 hour degree was approved and implemented in fall 2006.
