  • 2012-Present: Instructor
    Rogers State University, Claremore, OK
    Develop classes and teach first and second year nursing students. Lead clinicals for second years students. 
  • 2011-Present: Postpartum Registered Nurse
    St. Francis Hospital South, Tulsa, OK
    Assess and care for patients in the postpartum period as well as occasionally caring for the newborn infant. Provide patient education regarding breastfeeding, postpartum complications, infant safety, etc. Frequently serve as charge nurse.
  • 2008-2011: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse
    St. Francis Hospital South, Tulsa, OK
    Performed a comprehensive range of clinical functions including assessment of patients' conditions and needs, administration of medications, maintenance of patient charts, response to medical emergencies, and preparation of patients for surgery. Provided patient education regarding illnesses, medications, surgeries, etc. Frequently served as charge nurse and often had student nurses accompanying me.

    Assisted with the opening of a new pediatric office including organization of charts and office development.  Roomed patients, obtained vital signs and health history, administered vaccines and antibiotic shots, performed EKGs, administered breathing treatments, provided breastfeeding education, and performed telephone assessments.
