The A.A.S. students in nursing and emergency medical services are prepared to take their respective national licensing exams and enter the health care profession soon after graduation. Registered nurses with baccalaureate degrees are sought by many professional practice settings which prefer this level of preparation for specific nursing roles, particularly those that involve community health or nursing management. We also offer a nursing bridge option to Licensed Paramedics and Licensed Practical Nurses as an avenue for acceleration toward Registered Nurse licensure. This nursing bridge option leads to a nursing A.A.S. degree. The Bachelor of Science Nursing Program provides an opportunity for any licensed registered nurse educated at the associate degree or diploma level to achieve advanced academic and personal goals and to develop stronger clinical reasoning and analytical skills to advance their careers. |
