Program Overview

The Associate in Science in Biological Science degree consists of general education curriculum and supporting science courses. In support of the mission of the University, the school, and the department, the degree seeks to develop a student with a broad and diverse background in science and general education.

Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of General Cellular processes.
  2. Apply understanding of the taxonomy, morphology, and physiology of the Animal and Plant Kingdom.
  3. Demonstrate an understanding of the atom, compounds, matter, gases, solutions, atomic theory, bonding chemical reactions, and chemical kinetics.
  4. Apply good laboratory practice to minimize/eliminate potential laboratory hazards.
